On our first ever origin trip to Honduras in March to the COMSA cooperative, we tasted coffee with farmer Alfonso Nolasco. He had one, single burlap sack of a very special gesha coffee available, and we grabbed it!
This is Alfonso’s first year bringing coffee he grew to market. His father gave him complete control over a small section of the family farm. And he delivered. An ambitious choice to start with a gesha, but as you will taste, it was the right choice. We can’t wait for you to try it! We will definitely checking out what he can continue to produce in the future.
This coffee is complex, delicate, sweet and bold at the same time. We taste notes of dry Riesling, lemongrass and custard followed with a very clean finish. A limited release, so get it while it's hot!
